I should probably address the elephant in the room. Scaredy Dave is on pause for a number of reasons.

The Livestreams are only on pause because Chu decided to eat my webcam cord, so I have to buy a new webcam before I start doing that again. I enjoy doing the Livestreams the most right now, I'm thinking once I get that webcam I'll play through Galerians.

The Lets Play is pretty much on hold until I feel like doing it again. I've had so many issues getting them to record and editing them and making sure the stars were aligned, all so that maybe 3 people can watch them lol so my motivation on that front is a little strained. But that's ok, because I still upload the Twitch Livestreams to my channel when they're done so it's not like YouTube won't be getting any love.

The animated show/game is on hold because I'm incredibly busy with about 3 side projects and work kicking my ass lately. Let it be known that the first half of the game has a pretty nice outline written, and that Dave has a run animation, but that's as far as I've gotten so far. It's not dead, just life is in the way right now.

So there, if you've been wondering why an entire month went by and you haven't seen any updates to YouTube or twitch or Newgrounds, now you know. I still love Scaredy Dave and I intend to at least finish the "first season", especially with my own game as I really wanna make it. I just kind of need a break from it. You draw one thing for about 2 and a half years straight and it starts to drain you lol.

Hey guys!

Im officially back to working on Reincarnation: The Root of All Evil with Chris! I worked on it about 2 years ago as a minor role, back then I did storyboards and rough animations for the Opening Cutscene, as well as the rough animation for Cerberus. 

Now Im the Lead Cutscene animator, so Ill be storyboarding cutscenes, doing the rough AND final animations for ALL cutscenes in the game. Im excited to be working on this again as I needed more variety in my life! Also, for those who didnt know, TROAE has officially been Greenlit on Steam!

Its nice because this is an adventure game as opposed to a slot machine (which is what I do at my current full time job as an Online Game Artist for a major slot machine company), so I can do the old "My Goal and My Fear" thing we used to do at Lightside.

My Goal for this game is that "I want people to feel as excited they got to a cutscene in this game as I did when I would get to cutscenes in PS1 games", the happiness and excitement when like Xenogears would cut to one of its anime cutscenes, or FFVII's bigger moments, they always felt special to me because they were cutscenes done outside of the game engine. I hope to capture that excitement here.

My fear I would have to say is probably just the usual deadline fears. Honestly I cant think of anything that could go horribly wrong with this. With Lightside it was easy to say "I hope people don't write us off as just another boring religious game", but in this case we aren't doing anything that has a negative stigma attached to it, so I suppose I'm really just hoping I hit my deadlines with flying colors (a loose fear, Dave Bruno always makes his damn deadlines lol).

All in all, glad to be back to working on something else besides Scaredy Dave or Slot Machines haha, this will be a fun change of pace. Scaredy Dave's game isnt dead, its just on hold until I finish this. In the meantime, check out this Run Cycle I made for the Scaredy Dave game... Its literally all Ive done so far! (well, besides the documentation for how the first half of the game will work)

So its been a mighty long time since Ive done anything for episode 04 of Scaredy Dave! But no worries, I knocked two scenes out today, and you can watch them both in action by clicking this image!

Hopefully this episode will be done soon! Then on to the even harder work of making the game! Ive written a good sized document and made a few maps and concept pieces to go with it. Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know Ive finally started and got some major steam into Episode 04. So much so, in fact, that the prologue is already almost done! Here's a couple preview things you can gander at to prove it!

Otherwise, the reason it was taking so long is because I was creating a CG Model of Dave for the Game! Here's some progress on that:

Its my first model so its a bit rough, but it will get the job done for the game (because Im animating it in CG but exporting it out as a PNG sequence for use in the game, so anytime the model screws up I can just photoshop those frames to look better haha.)

I eventually would like to make a higher quality model of Dave for use in the show (and in turn, make the entire show in CG for some episodes, just to vary my portfolio.), but thats a project for a different day.

Prologue for Episode 04 will be done soon-ish! That will, again, go on Youtube first, and then the entire episode will release here on Newgrounds in one large chunk once I finish the whole thing.

Hey Everyone! 

For those of you concerned that the way Episode 03 ended may signify the end, Id like to post this Thumbnail up...

Were "just walking out" so easy, the show would end on a pretty dull note! Dont ya think? But there's still plenty more to come, so just hang in there! Im taking a break from animating the show because I am learning CG with the hopes of making Episode 5 into a game. So far its going pretty smoothly, so I may get back in the reigns again soon.
